Queens - 2024
We have a limited supply of queens each season for sale, as we use them to build our nucleus colonies.
We personally rear our own queens, providing our apiaries with a strong, wintering local stock.
The process for selecting and mating our queens is basic. We use select queens with favorable traits to harvest larvae. These larvae will develop into strong virgin queens that will naturally mate with the local drone population.
Some favorable queen/colony traits include - honey production, wintering ability, pest/disease resistance, calm temper, vigorous and organized behavior.
- Queens will be young, mated and unmarked. (We can mark for a fee if requested.)
- We do not clip wings.
When you order your queens please be prepared to install them as soon as possible after you receive them.

Pick up - Free from Calmar location.
Shipping - Alberta Only - We ship via Canada Post Express Post or Priority Service depending on location etc. - We send out queens Monday-Thursday only.
